6 months!!

Sorry for the lack of Jacob updates lately! I've been working quite a bit at the hospital for my training. Now that I have done a few weeks of training, I might do a day or two during the week every now and then, but mainly, I will be working every other weekend. So, I will be a lot less busy real soon here! I'm really thankful for that!

Jacob's 6 month appointment was this past Friday. Here are the official stats:

Weight: 18 lb 12 oz (75th percentile)
Length: 27 3/4 in (90th percentile)

He's been pretty consistent on the 75th % for weight and 90 % for length through most of his appointments. We've started solids every day now and he seems to like them! He wasn't a huge fan of peas and rice cereal, but everything else seems to be good. He likes grabbing the spoon full of food and "helping" it into his mouth.. which often results in him getting food all over his hands - which eventually ends up all over his face!

This past weekend while I was at work, Josh took him to Wal Mart to pick up a few things and bought a sippy cup to see if he would be interested. He took to it right away and had most of his milk out of it for the rest of the day!

Also, he sits up now. I still keep an eye on him, since he's not 100% steady but he can sit and play for quite a while before he gets tired or reaches for something and topples over.

He's getting so big!!!

I missed a few really nice days while I was at work, but hopefully the weather will warm up soon because I am ready to be outside!! I'm anxious to get the stroller outdoors instead of just in the mall!

In other news, my super nice husband signed us up for a membership at a fitness center here in Ankeny! They have child care for about $2/hour, so I can go during the day and have someone keep an eye on Jacob!! I'm excited to go check it out and actually do some exercising once in a while!
Well, hopefully I'll be better at updating this thing again, so check back! :)

I finally got a hat on him! I haven't tried till this past weekend, but like father like son, he really likes it!
