Random Jacob-isms

1. He loves to look in the refrigerator. He could stare and point for hours if I let him, mostly just inspecting everything in there. He also likes to sit on the ledge at the bottom of the fridge when it's open and drink from his sippy cup. He likes to try to take the eggs out when I'm not looking. He learned the hard way that they make a mess if you squeeze them.

2. He loves the song "If you're happy and you know it." I entertain him in the car by making up new verses (I probably look nuts to the other drivers) such as "If you're happy and you know it blow a raspberry" or "blink your eyes" or "say yahoo!!!" and the list could go on. He laughs and does whatever the verse tells him to.

3. He still doesn't like white milk. He takes his milk with chocolate. He does not like juice...so it's either chocolate milk or water for him.

4. He loves puppies. We watch puppies go past outside all of the time and he gets very excited.

5. We don't watch a lot of TV with him.. in fact, he doesn't recognize any TV characters because he doesn't see them often enough to be able to recognize them. However, when ESPN is on, he is glued to the TV. Even when there is not a ball visible on the screen, he says "BALL!!" when he recognizes that it is ESPN on the TV.

6. Relating to his love of all things ball, he would rather run up and down the basketball court at the park with Josh's basketball or watch people playing basketball than go down the slides.

7. He does not like to get his hands messy. If there is something on his hands (food, paint, sticker, etc.) he wants it off.

8. He loves to dip his food in ketchup. Anything goes... bread, oranges, cheese, meat, apples, etc.

9. He is so funny when he makes a dirty diaper (sorry if TMI) he plugs his nose and goes "stiii tiii" (stinky!!)

10. He loves playing tee ball.

11. He loves balloons. Anywhere he sees balloons, he gets so excited.

12. He gets excited about airplanes. I don't even notice the noise of an airplane overhead when I'm inside, but he's very perceptive and will look alert suddenly and say "pah" (his current word for airplane)

13. He is getting so tall that he can flip light switches off, open doors, lock and unlock doors, and hold the railing to go down stairs. He is thinning out as well as getting tall, which makes finding pants for him increasingly difficult.

14. His favorite thing to do is probably "go go go!" (as he calls it!) He loves to run. I'm so glad that summer is coming and we'll be able to do this outside!!

15. The only way that he will willingly let me brush his teeth well is if I let him take my toothbrush and brush my teeth at the same time. It's actually quite adorable and we giggle about it every night.
