Now that Josh has been posting all week keeping everyone updated, it is my turn. We finally left the hospital a little after 3:00 this afternoon. We didn't have much going on today, but they had to take out the staples in my incision this afternoon. It is nice to finally be home!! Who knew when we left the house at 6:30 on Monday morning that the week would turn out like it did! I guess it just goes to show that you really can't plan out these types of things. Going in, I REALLY did not want to have a c-section, but there isn't a thing we could do about that! While I am feeling quite a bit better, I know I still have a lot of resting and getting better to do!! Keep us in your prayers over the next days and weeks! Everything is going very well with Jacob though. He is a little bit jaundiced but they said that it should likely clear up in the next couple days. They suggested letting him get some sunlight in the hospital - so I thought I'd share an adorable picture of my two favorite guys just hanging out getting some sun.
Josh has been so great through this whole week helping out and doing everything I needed him to.. and keeping everyone updated. I'm so glad to have a husband like him! Right now he's cleaning and doing laundry (I'm just somewhat supervising to make sure that nothing gets shrunk in the dryer!!) It's a little frustrating for me to know that I shouldn't be up and around doing all that stuff. It's hard to relax when you're used to making yourself busy!! I'm trying though! Josh even went and got my prescription for pain killer and some Chinese food and chocolate chip cookies tonight too. I'm not used to sitting around being needy- and he's been more than amazing. I think I'll keep him!!
Anyway, a finishing thought - it's amazing how you have no idea that you can love someone so much instantly like we do with baby Jake!
