Last weekend, Jacob made his first trip to Sioux Center - it was a quick trip, but we had fun! Josh and his dad went to Illinois to see a Michigan game for Josh's birthday (which was yesterday!) and Josh's mom drove Jacob and me up to Sioux Center. Josh had a great time at the game (of course -- Michigan won!) and we had fun hanging out with everyone at my parent's house. Jacob slept the whole way there and back! That was really good, considering even at night, he usually only sleeps 3 hours at a time! Last night he slept probably the longest he's ever slept - just over 5 hours straight! The only downside to that was that he was sleeping on the couch with me for that entire 5 hours. I really don't want to make a habit of that, but when it's the middle of the night and I can't stay awake anymore, there's not many options when he's wide awake. He usually goes right to sleep by me. He woke up and gave Josh and I tons of smiles right away this morning. What a great thing to wake up to!
I had my 6 week check up appt yesterday as well (yep, it's been 6 weeks already!!) Thankfully everything is back to normal... even my blood pressure was back where it should be!!!
I don't think I blogged since last week when Josh injured himself playing basketball! Last Wednesday night, we spent about 3 hours in the E.R. and found out Josh had a pretty bad ankle sprain. He's been really tough and will probably be off his crutches soon-- he still uses them most of the time right now. His foot is still pretty swollen as well.
