Well, Michigan lost...and I have had a hard time consoling Jacob. Actually, its the other way around.
I went to my first Iowa State basketball game on Friday night. It was a really good time. I sat courtside. A friend of mine from church has season tickets. When we got there we went to our seats, and noticed his boss (who sits courtside) wasn't in his seats. So Steve called his boss and found out that they were only using 2 of the 4 tickets and we can sit up there with them. It was a pretty cool experience. I had a shot of reality though, these kids playing are younger than I am, and that to me was weird. I never in my life had experienced that. I know its rough being 25!
On Saturday, I went to the Des Moines Bucanneers hockey game, with another friend Aaron. (I know its hard to believe I have 2 friends!) It was a really good game as well. The bucs won 3-2. No fights though, and while that may be a disappointment to some, it wouldn't have been good for the bucs, because they were much smaller and it would have been a mismatch.
I know life isn't a game! As for work, its going well. I hit my October sales goal, and so far this month, I am projected to hit my November goal. As you might imagine, construction workers aren't the kindest and gentlest people on God's green earth. I get called every name in the book when I hobble onto a job site with my sprained ankle. But as much of a nuisance as it might be, it actually helps because I don't have a problem with people talking to me. Its kind of an ice breaker. So even after it heals, I'll be limping around job sites acting cripple. With sales comes acting!
That's about all that's new in my life at the moment. Kris is doing well, and Jake is quite the Handsome little guy. She might have some things to add later...
