Josh & Kris: Chicago & pumpkin carving!

A few recent pictures of the excitement that's been going on around here!! :) We've been busy as usual. Jake's molars finally popped through.. he now has 12 teeth! Just when I thought he might get a break, his bottom right I-tooth (I think that's what it's called anyway) started coming through too. I haven't checked if his others are making it to the top yet, though, because he really doesn't like me digging around in his mouth. I don't blame him, I can't say I'd want someone fishing around in my mouth too much either. :) I'm hoping that they all just come through soon so he's not in so much pain! He's been cheerful regardless, but he gnaws on his fingers a lot! Here's a great, toothy smile!

This next picture was taken at the zoo in Chicago. (Lincoln Park Zoo, I think? It was a free zoo that we went to.) There is a funny story going on here... (hence the look on Josh's face..) Jacob saw a squirrel and decided to chase it to the tree. It went up the tree and scurried up the tree. Jacob ran around the tree I don't know how many times trying to watch the squirrel.. it was too cute! (Click the picture to enlarge it and see Jake and Josh's faces! :))

Jacob fell asleep on the bumpy bus ride to the zoo. (Sorry, pics out of order here) I was very surprised he didn't wake up, even when we got off the bus!

And then he kept sleeping the entire time we were at Chipotle.... on the bench with my coat underneath him. It was so loud in there... he must have been tired!!

He loves walking all by himself! We like it too because it's a lot easier than carrying him all of the time!

Just another random funny picture... he loves his bounce 'n spin zebra. I can't really explain the look on his face, though... I think he was just really getting into it!
