A belated Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great relaxing weekend in Kansas City (Thursday-Sunday) and enjoyed spending time with Josh's parents, sister, and grandparents! We ate lots of great food and played lots of games!

Some recent pictures...
Reading in the big bucket! Jake looooves reading his books. We read a huge stack of books every day...and read most of them over and over. Last week, I thought I'd try teaching Jake to say "again" so that he could tell me if he wanted a certain book again. He picked up on it right away and says "ggggg" (said from the back of his throat, which is really funny) after the books he really likes!

Painting is super fun and super messy. And I'm super glad that the paint is non-toxic! :) This is Jake wearing one of my "paint shirts." Although it looks like he had nothing to paint, we were painting Christmas ornaments. :)

All dressed up for... WINTER!!

On the way to Kansas City on Thursday, we got stopped for an hour. There was a semi that was jack-knifed (is that how you say that??) on the interstate. Jake was napping for the first part of the stop, but he woke up after about 20 minutes. Josh and Jake got out of the car for a while and walked around...
On Saturday, Josh's mom and grandma baked all day long! Jake thought he'd try to "help" too...

Watching daddy walk to the car...

As you can see from the picture above, we got snow!! It melted a lot today, but this was what it looked like in Kansas City this past weekend! We're supposed to get more tomorrow...

Jacob and grandma!

Jacob and grandpa!

Us with some of Jake's great grandparents!

Grandma H sent a little music box for Jake. A little train drives around a Christmas tree and it plays "we wish you a merry Christmas." He lovs to open and close it and stares at it with a big grin. Can you get any cuter than that?? :)

The boy loves his grapes! He polished off this pile of sliced grapes in just a few minutes today! :)

And.. to end on a humorous note... Jake was messing with the tray cover for his booster seat tonight and we ended up with some great poses. He knew he was being funny because we were laughing so hard. He would laugh too and then pose again. Here's the little comedian himself...
