We had our last session of Music Together last week. Jake had tons of fun as always. We didn't sign up for the winter session this time. We are going to try Kindermusik for something different. I think I've mentioned Music Together before, but basically, they do a bunch of songs and just have fun with them.. getting out egg shakers, sticks, the parachute, balls, etc to play with. Jacob's favorite part is the Hello Song.. they sing it at the beginning every week and go around and say hello to everyone. Everyone taps to the beat, and Jake loves to do that! At the end, he always puts both arms up in the air and cheers! This song has been so helpful in the car when he's getting cranky... most of the time, I can get him to stop crying/fussing and start patting his legs to the beat. It's crazy how much he loves that song! Every week, during one of the songs, the lady in charge spreads a bunch of random "instruments" all over the floor and the kids can go around playing with anything they want. Here are a few pictures from this... (sorry some are pretty blurry)
The thing he is picking up here with the silver beads around it is always his favorite!!

Checking out the selection..

Random guy was helping Jake play a lollipop "drum" :)

Trying out the triangle..

We have gotten quite a bit of snow lately. Jake loves to look out the window at it and tries to say "outside" and "snow." He's getting pretty good at it. I decided to get him all dressed up for the snow and take him outside the other day. I think it took us more time to get into the snowpants, coat, boots, hat, and mittens than we actually spent outside. It was fun anyway! He sat in the snow and didn't really know what to think... but the snowplows were out down the street, so he enjoyed watching them! The air was so cold, though, so we didn't hang out there long!
