The joys of being married to my Wife

So there we were going through airport security. I go through first carrying all of our carry-on baggage and then its Kris' turn to go through right behind me. So I am over by the x-ray conveyor belt putting my computer and bags on the belt and getting ready to take off my shoes when I turn around and see Kris and Jake still standing there at the security podium and Kris was in a panic. I go back there and find out that Kris' drivers license was EXPIRED in FEBRUARY. It got to the point that I thought we weren't going to be able to leave the airport. I told Jake that mom was going to have to stay home while we enjoyed our vacation. She didn't seem to amused by the comment. So after showing a library card of all things they let her through and then she had to do a mandatory pat-down and they had to go through everything that she was holding including Jake.

Now fast-forward to today and you have Kris cramming for a drivers test because she doesn't seem to know the answers to any of the questions and she is freaking out. All of this is very amusing to me and actually I laugh quite frequently about it. So as she continues to study for something she has been doing for years, I stop and wonder about how safe I am when I ride with her. Does she not understand that when you have a violation in another state that it also is on her Iowa record? Or how 3 moving violations in a month does not equal a habitual bad driver? Or even better, motorcycles and mopeds need to have only one brake. To be quite honest these questions really have nothing to do with actually driving a car. And once again I find this quite humorous and amusing!

This is just one of the many reasons I love my wife. She is very entertaining and also keeps me on my toes! There is never a dull moment in our lives. So Kris, I love you even if you fail your test!
