That evening, we went to an Iowa Cubs baseball game... Jake's first baseball game! He loved looking around at all of the people and whenever there was applause, he'd join right in.. we were amazed because we didn't even encourage him... he just saw everyone around him clapping, so he thought he would too. It's the little things like that that are so fun and exciting to see him do! We actually got in free to the game too because my employer gave everyone 2 free general admission tickets plus 2 $5 food vouchers. We ended up still spending some $$ on food, since my bottle of water alone cost $3.50! It was a good deal for a cheap night out anyway. It was actually a double-header, but we only stayed for one game, since Jake was getting pretty tired and it was bedtime. (You can see the tired look in the picture of Jake and Josh- that was taken on the way out!) It's so great to have nice weather and get out and do fun stuff with Jacob!

Take me out to the ballgame!
Who could resist this face?? :)
Last weekend, I finally had the weekend off from work. Josh, Jacob, and I headed to the farmer's market in downtown Des Moines on Saturday morning. We picked up some fresh peppers, romaine, peaches, and some good wine from a local winery. Jacob had a great time looking at all the dogs (or, what he refers to as "puh" for puppies! :)) and the street musicians.

I love your hair, Kris!
It reminds me of the high school days a little bit, but not really I guess.
It's cute.
Okay, I'll shut up about your hair.... :)
