Grateful

I can't believe how fast the last five months have gone! Actually, the last year has gone incredibly fast. I know I say it all the time, but it's so true! Jacob turned 5 months old on the 10th. He has finally decided to roll over again (after taking an approximately 2 month vacation from doing so) lately and can almost sit by himself! He does little baby sit-ups when he's on his back, trying to get up to a sitting position. I am grateful every day for Josh and Jacob. I don't think a day goes by when I don't think about how scary it was to be in the hospital, not having a clue if my pulse and blood pressure would stop going up and my platelet count would stop going down.....and how happy I am to be healthy and have a beautiful healthy family. I have so much to be thankful for! Here are just a very few examples of what I am thankful for lately...

Getting dressed up with nowhere to go...

Big, beautiful baby blue eyes...

The many expressions on Jacob's face and wondering what exactly he's thinking...

The way his eyes look up at me...

How sweet he looks when he's sleeping, all snuggled in...

Playing on the floor all day long never seems to get old for him...

Seeing my (usually) attentive listener when we read books...

Josh is at school tonight for the first time in a few weeks. Too bad it wasn't another snow day for him! He's been keeping busy with everything lately. In other news, I accepted a job as a hospital social worker in the ER/ICU at a local hospital here. I'll be working every second or third weekend. I'll probably start next week sometime with training. I'm really excited but also nervous, as this is a little bit different than the hospital social work position I had before.
