Our trip and 9 month stats!

Jacob is now over 9 months old. He had his check-up yesterday and he is now 22 lb 7 oz and 30 inches long! His percentiles were about the same as always- 75th for weight and 97th for length. Unfortunately, this was our 2nd trip to the doctor in the last few days. This past week, I took Jacob to NW Iowa to my parent's house and he had a trip to the ER on Saturday night, since it was the only place open in town. He was running a fever and was extremely drowsy, even after his naps. It was quite obvious that he was miserable, so we decided to just take him in. He had an ear infection. Between that and his four teeth that are still ever so slowly coming in, I can tell he's feeling pretty crappy. However, he is being such a trooper through all of this. We had a great time in Sioux Center and got to do a lot of fun stuff like going to the park and to Uncle Marlin's farm to see the animals. He was very curious about most of the animals and watched them intently. The pigs scared him a little bit, though. Here are a few pictures from this past week. The first two are from yesterday at home- he recently started watching out the windows a LOT now that he can get up to the windowsill by himself. I can tell when he sees a dog or a person because he lets out a little "huh huh."
