Lately

What we've been up to:
*Taking walks to the pond at the end of our development daily to see if there are any ducks. Sometimes there are, sometimes not.
*Shooting hoops, playing t ball, and bowling in the living room. He's getting pretty good at all of the above. Because of his t ball skills, the game will soon be reserved for the park.
*Going to the park a lot!! We've been trying to mix it up and try out different parks and meet up with buddies at the park whenever we can.
*Went to Chicago to help Rob and Megan move.
*Jake had a double ear infection AND bronchialitis. He still gets amoxicillin 2 times a day and a nebulizer treatment every 4-6 hours. The nebulizer is referred to as the "buzz lightyear mask." It makes it a little more friendly.
*Josh got a new job and started on Monday! Now he's trying to sell his truck since he got a company car to use! We are also probably going to try to sell our townhouse, we'll see how that goes! No urgent need to move, but we're going to try to go the "for sale by owner" route and see what happens. The goal is a house with a yard instead of a townhouse with a strip of grass.
*Jake is repeating more and more words and loves to talk. We've also been working on the ABC's. If you ask him to sing the ABC song, you'll get some sort of sing-song version that sounds "like seeee ddeeee beee seeee yaaaaa" but when we go through the letters one by one he gets most of them. He still gets stuck with G nad J every time. He has never repeated the letter "I"... instead, he points to his eyes. Too funny!
*Jake loves his Veggie Tales CD in the car. We went to Chicago this past weekend and forgot to bring it. We were only up to Newton, Iowa and we had had the same conversation about 342 times..."Mommmyy!!" "What Jake?" "DEE DEEEEEE" (translation: Veggie Tales) "I'm sorry Jake, we forgot it at home!!" so we stopped at Wal Mart and bought a "Veggie Tales Greatest Hits" CD, which completely satisfied the little guy.
*I used to be called "mommy" Now sometimes it's meemoo, mawmaw, meemo, mawmoo, or mama. Sometimes it's all or some of the above combined, most commonly "meemaa mawwwmoo mmoommmyyy" I have no idea how these odd variations came about, but I do find it rather endearing.

Hahahaha!!! I laughed out loud at the mawmoo, meemo! Pretty classic. You MUST add that in the baby book--although I'm a hypocrite for saying it cuz I don't touch Caleb's baby book any more. (Whoops.) And Isaiah doesn't even have a baby book. (Double whoops.)
The repetitive conversation in the car reminds me so much of Caleb. A couple weekends ago we were traveling up north and we counted how many times he said, "under bridge" (because we went under two or three bridges at the time) before he said something else. 26 times!!!!!!!!
Sucks about the ear infection and bronchialitis! Scary stuff right there.
Ditto on the ducks and parks. No ditto on the hoops. This man has only room for tractors, diggers, trains, and bulldozers, with the occasional car as well. :)

Good luck with the job, Josh!

Thanks for the update. That was lots of fun to read.
